COVID-19 Guidelines: For the Health and Safety of Our Students and Staff
The same COVID guidelines for the school will apply to before and after care.
Note: Facemasks are required while in the building.
Before Care
Drop off will be at the preschool doors beginning at 6:30 a.m. All students will have a temperature check upon entering the building. Preschool students will remain in Mrs. Lanteigne’s room. Students in grades K thru 8 will go to the Art room.
Sharing of toys and activities will be kept to a minimum. All toys and activities will be sanitized after each use and any toys or activities that cannot be sanitized will not be used in the classroom.
Staff will be required to wear facemasks and to the greatest extent possible will work with the same group of children.
After Care
Preschool
Each child will have a temperature check prior to attending aftercare. Staff will be required to wear facemasks and to the greatest extent possible, will work with the same group of children.
To accommodate deep-cleaning of classrooms, preschool children will attend aftercare in Mrs. Raker’s room on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; and Mrs. Pierce’s room on Tuesday and Thursday.
Sharing of toys and activities will be kept to a minimum. All toys and activities will be sanitized after each use and any toys or activities that cannot be sanitized will not be used in the classroom.
Each child that attends aftercare will have their own personal box (labeled with his/her name and picture) of toys and activities. Items will be sanitized daily.
To minimize exposure in the classrooms, parents are asked to sign out their child/ren at the door and staff will bring your child to you.
Grade School (K thru 8)
Each child will have a temperature check prior to attending aftercare. Masks will be required for students and social distancing will be in place as much as possible. Staff will be required to wear facemask and to the greatest extent possible, will work with the same group of children.
Aftercare will be held in the cafeteria where students will be separated by grade/homeroom.
Sharing of toys and activities will be kept to a minimum. All toys and activities will be sanitized after each use and any toys or activities that cannot be sanitized will not be used in the program. Each student will have a personal bag of art supplies to be used in aftercare that will also be sanitized after each use.
As often as possible, students will be released by grade/homeroom to the gym or outside for exercise and play. All equipment will be sanitized after each use.
To minimize exposure in the building, parents are asked to sign out their child/ren at the front desk and students will be brought to you.
Special note to parents that have children in both preschool and gradeschool –
To minimize exposure in the building, parents are asked to pick up children from the main office. A call will be made to have your children brought to you.
As an alternate, you may pick up your children at each location.
